Discover Popular Tournaments on WeCourts
Finding quality padel tournaments just got easier. WeCourts now highlights Popular Tournaments — events that meet real quality standards: verified players, active registrations, and organizers who stay on top of results.
No paid placements. No favoritism. Just data-driven visibility for tournaments that earn it.
For players: Browse curated, high-quality tournaments you can trust. For organizers: Meet the criteria, get featured automatically — no application needed.
Not all tournaments are created equal. Popular Tournaments on WeCourts are automatically identified based on objective quality signals — giving players confidence and giving organizers a clear path to visibility.
WeCourts analyzes every upcoming and ongoing tournament against a transparent set of criteria. Tournaments that meet all requirements are labeled as Popular and featured prominently across the platform — on the web, in the app, and in search results.
No applications. No fees. No editorial picks. The system is fully automated and rule-based.
A tournament earns Popular status when it demonstrates quality across these dimensions:
Verified Player Base At least 6 players with a WPPR ID, or at least 8 players registered with their full names. This ensures the tournament attracts serious, identifiable players — not placeholder entries.
Active Registrations A minimum of 5 approved teams. This confirms real demand and commitment, not just interest.
Tournament Presentation A poster image is required. First impressions matter — tournaments that invest in presentation tend to deliver a better experience.
Organizer Accountability Organizers must have no overdue results from past tournaments. If you run events, you need to close them out. This keeps the ecosystem healthy and ensures players can track their history.
Approved Status The tournament must be approved on WeCourts. This is the baseline quality gate.
When multiple tournaments qualify, they're ranked by:
Most WPPR-verified players — strongest competitive signal
Most full-name players — breadth of serious registrations
Most approved teams — overall demand
Earliest start date — upcoming events surface first
Every organizer gets a Popularity Status dashboard on their tournament page showing:
Exactly which criteria are met and which aren't
How many more players or teams are needed
Whether overdue results are blocking eligibility
Real-time updates as registrations come in
When your tournament becomes Popular, you'll see a celebration — because you earned it.
There are no hidden rules. The criteria are published and the same for everyone.
The Popular badge means:
Real players are registered, not placeholders
The organizer is active and delivers results on time
The event has momentum with enough teams committed
It's well-presented with proper tournament information
Browse Popular Tournaments from the homepage carousel or filter for them in search.
Tournament discovery is hard. Players waste time on events that get cancelled, have ghost registrations, or never post results. Organizers who do things right get buried alongside those who don't.
Popular Tournaments solves both problems: players find quality faster, and organizers who invest in their events get the visibility they deserve.
The rules are simple, public, and the same for everyone. Quality in, visibility out.
